Day Three: Mankato
The drive from Austin to Mankato go through miles and miles of rich farm land, punctuated with small towns, where the grain elevator and the ag-related businesses show how farm and town are dependent on each other.
Our stop at Minnesota State University Mankato brought me back in touch with some old friends, who are actually not that old! There’s a great network of Obama activists who I worked with in the last campaign, and I’m excited to have them on my side in this one. I was really touched by a great introduction by John Hottinger, the former Senate Majority Leader, who I am proud to say is supporting me.
We left, reminding everyone that we’re going to be back again and again in the next year.
